Random post. . . :)

I feel like I've been neglecting this blog. I even forgot to do the verse/song post this weekend! I'm really sorry! And, while I should be trying to write The Silent Blade, I'm stuck :)  But hey, I've got a good excuse; I broke my wrist on Thursday. :) That is a reasonable excuse. .. right?
Well, until I'm able to get around to the more scheduled posts, I thought I'd do a random post of pictures showing what's been going on lately around our house!
This was on memorial day.

Dad at great grandma and grandpa's grave
Celebrating Cameron's 5th birthday.

Rainbow after a thunderstorm.
Gorgeous sunset after the storm!
Sisters! (and Caleb who decided to photo bomb the picture! :)

We were on a family picnic :) All us kids and dad! Mom's there too, just not in the pic!

Faith and I!

Sarah and I. Some people think we're twins even though there is a 5-year difference :D

And. . .on Saturday our van broke down!

Thankfully, mamma was able to come and pick us up in the new van we had just gotten! No, this picture was not taken when she picked us up :) It's just the only picture of the van that I have.

And we've been doing school of course. . .
More school. . . ;)

Anddd, I broke my wrist on Thursday :(
Well, there's a little look intro our life! :)I hope you enjoyed it!

I'd appreciate all your prayers as I go to the doctor this next week to decide whether I need a cast or not. And then what to do from here. Thanks In advance! I hope you all have an amazing week!!! :D

(my verse for this week :)
Psalm 37:23-24
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

    3. Ok, here goes. (This happen about 4-5 years ago.)
At the church my dad used to pastor there was a lot of kids. There was probably 15+ kids going there at that time. After church the adults would stand around out front and talk. The cemetery was to the left of and slightly above the church and the kids would hangout on the grassy slope in between. It's not a big area, but it was enough. Sometimes we had races in the parking lot.(there I go, getting off subject...*sighs*)
Anyway, one Wednesday evening we were playing this game we'd made up. Several people stand in a row, one behind another, about 2-3 feet apart, facing up the hill. Then, one person lies on the ground at the top of the hill and rolls down. As they do the people standing have to jump over them. On this particular day our 'guinea pig' (I don't mean for that to sound unkind, she volunteered!:) was a girl about 2 years younger than me. When she rolled down the second girl standing jumped over her, but fell in doing so...and tried to catch herself with her hand...and twist her wrist. When she sat up she was in tears and said "I think I broke my arm!"
Long story short (but I think it's already too late!) we all knew it hurt, but nobody thought it was actually broke. Her parents went ahead and took her to the ER anyway, just to be sure. So then, the next day my dad gets a call and, as it turned out, her wrist WAS broke...in 2 places...and she was in a cast above her elbow for about 6 weeks!
Everyone agreed that's the craziest way to break a bone!! :D

  7. How did you break your wrist? (If you feel comfortable telling us...) I have never broken a bone so in this way I am blessed and I pray I never will! But, it does sound like you have had a crazy week or so. God bless and I'll be praying!

  9. Okay, well it looks like everyone is asking the same question, so instead of writing the same thing six times, I'll answer it in one comment :)
I was standing in the kitchen leaning against the cupboard and I didn't realize that the floor was wet. I was wearing shoes and my feet slipped out from under me. I fell and put out my wrist to catch me. So, yeah, that's how it broke! :(
Thank you all so much for your prayers!!
