Write this piece winner

Hey everyone! I only had one entry this time. . .and I LOVED it :D Thanks for entering, Rebekah! And great job ;) It went perfectly with the music!

Hidden Refuge--By Rebekah Eddy
“Open up!”
Those words, spoken in a heavily German accent, jerked me from my dreams. I glanced over at my wife next to me, and her eyes fluttered open as well. Our worst dreams were coming real. I found her hand under the covers and she squeezed reassuringly. Both our hands were ice cold in fear.
I stumbled over to the door, trying to appear like an innocent citizen, just awoken from peaceful slumber, and opened it after breathing a quick prayer.
Three German soldiers pushed me aside and entered our home. It was obvious what they were searching for: obviously, someone had discovered that my wife and I were secretly keeping a Jewish mother and her two children in our home. I didn’t know how that had been found out, we had been very careful, but somehow it was known.
God, I prayed again, protect those Jews, blind the German’s while they search. Keep them safe. They are in your hands.
My wife came and stood next to me, and on the outside she looked perfectly calm. I never felt so proud of my wife; she seemed to know exactly how to handle these soldiers.
“Would any of you soldiers like some coffee?” She asked, as if they were guests, not intruders. The Germans were obviously surprised, but still refused gruffly and continued their search. So my wife made me a cup of coffee and sat down on our couch.
After several minutes, which went by so slowly for my wife and me, the Germans found nothing and left disappointed.
Once the door closed behind the soldiers, we both sank to our knees and thanked God. Confident that He had protected those Jews for us.
