Thanksgiving!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
I certainly did! This year, a family from our church invited us over to their house. We didn't know them very well, so we weren't sure how it would go. . . but we had a WONDERFUL time!!!
Their kids were older(the youngest was 19) but we had a fun time regardless! We spent about 3 1/2 hours playing games. We played Uno, Spoons, and golf. We got there at 1:00pm and were planning to stay until around 3:30pm. . . but we ended up staying until 7:30! After we left their house, we went by our grandparents house to see how they were doing. They haven't been feeling well and we were going to drop off some of the leftovers for them. When we got there, we had another surprise! Some very dear friends who we haven't seen in a couple months were there!! So we stayed there and talked for another 2--2 1/2 hours and then we went home. This was defiantly one of the very best Thanksgivings ever!!
What did y'all do for Thanksgiving?
A vegetable tray "turkey" that my sister made. Unfortunately, it turned out a bit blurry.
Game time.
More games!
Playing "spoons"!!
If you have ever played "spoons", you know that  in the middle of the table there is one less spoon then there are players. We had 5 players, so 4 spoons. We connected all 4 of them, which made the game a lot more fun, because when one person would grab for a spoon, they would get all 4. . . which resulted in everyone grabbing at that players hand trying to get one.  It made the game a lot more fun, and also more competitive!

  1. How fun! I remember when I was ten going to someone's house for dinner, and their youngest child was twenty. But we had so much fun with them, it was a blast!
I'm so glad you had a fun Thanksgiving. We had a pretty nice and quiet one, it was nice. I mean there were a LOT of people here, but we mostly visited, ate dinner together, walked and talked. Then the guys decided to watch football... and it got really loud. ;) All the girls went to the basement and read and visited.
Thanks for this post and I'm glad you had a great day!

  4. How do you play spoons? I spent my thanksgiving at my grandparents and decorated her tree the next day.
