A song and verse for the weekend--Stand up, stand up for Jesus
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
This is EXACTLY what I needed to read today. I recently received (one directly, one indirectly) three comments that were all very negative online. Two of them were attacking these two friend's of mine Christian faith, and the other was attacking my attempts to choose the right path for taking care of Bodie. It was really hard to read those comments. But we have an awesome God we serve, and no matter what the persecution, we gotta "stand up" for Jesus! Plus, like that verse you posted, we're in a spiritual war. I take heart that if someone is offended by what my friends and I are, it must mean we're doing something right. ;)
I'm so glad it was encouraging, Calamity! I love that part you said about how we must be doing something right if they're offended. It's so true and I need to remember that more often!
