Random Rambligs...

After a busy day of sewing, cleaning, piano lessons, Dr. app. etc, I'm watching Disney's Frozen with my 7 younger siblings while my Dad and Mom go out on a date. It's really fun when you can find a movie all of of enjoy watching together. Both the youngest (who is 2) all the way up to Faith and I love watching it.  And nothing beats watching a movie with siblings :)
By the way, if you haven't watched Frozen yet you need to see it!

I've got this song in my head now :)

    1. I like "Do you want to build a snowman" best because, well, the whole point of the movie is that Elsa CAN'T "let it go" she has learn to control her power... I also LOVE Olaf and the reindeer.

  2. I tried to comment last night but it wouldn't let me. Anyways, were you writing this post while watching the movie? It sounds like you were!

  3. Ahhh!!! Now it's back in MY head! Here's my version of this song:
"It's in my head, it's in my dreams,
this crazy song makes me want to scream...
I don't care, what my friends will say:
    Let this song be Gone!
The Olaf song was better anyway..." :P

  4. Why is this movie so wonderful? I've never seen it, but I've heard all kinds of talk about it. From what I've heard, I don't want to see it, but what do you all say? Why should someone watch it? Is it glorifying to God? Are these animations of "real" people?

    1. Are any movies "glorifying" to God? What does that actually mean? DO you watch any movies? Why? Of course these aren't "real" people, it is based on a fiction story. YOUR stories are fiction...
Just a thought. I'm not saying that it's bad to not watch it, but I'm also not saying that it is bad TO watch it. What about it that you have heard do you not like?

    2. What I was meant was, is the story line something that doesn't violate God's Word. Is there magic in it?
And by "real people" I was referring to "human actors" vs. animation. :) (I don't like animation.)

Yes, I do watch movies. :) And I'm not saying anyone should NOT watch this movie, I'm just wondering why it is such a "big thing." Is it because it is new? Is the plot line such a great thing? I haven't really heard anything much about it except what a friend told me, and I wasn't impressed, but I can't really remember why. (I think I was thinking of other things when she told me about it. :P )

    3. .Frozen is a typical Disney movie. It is animation and, yes, there is magic in it.
We don't watch movies like it very often, but every once in a while we'll watch one just for fun :) It has some good values in the movie, but it isn't honoring God or his word in any way. It's just entertaining. I don't believe it's bad to watch a movie like that occasionally, but watching it all the time probably wouldn't be the best idea. (Then again, watching ANY movie all the time wouldn't be good :)

I don't recall anything that violates God's Word, and yes, there is magic. But magic isn't wrong. So are you saying that animation isn't good b/c you don't like it? Or what? Mostly (I think), it's a big deal to everyone b/c its new. I think it will wear off. The kids I'm around talk about it A LOT less, and sing it A LOT less...
      Jessica:
I definitely agree. I has some good values in it. I don't really think there was supposed to be a moral, but I got one out of it lol! You are supposed to love people, and that will melt a frozen heart, (ie. when you have offended/hurt someone, then you truly show that you love them, you will be surprised what happens!) You said that it isn't honoring to God or His Word? I have to politely disagree. Just b/c it doesn't talk about it or mention it, doesn't mean it doesn't honor God...
      Blessings ladies,

    5. CLARIFICATION:
I think that if there was something bad in it, THEN it wouldn't honor God. To me the pairing the words with movies is confusing :P

    6. What I meant was there isn't anything in it that is for the purpose of bringing God glory. I wasn't saying it dishonors it :-)

    7. Thank you for you feedback, ladies. :) I personally don't care for animated films, but that is just me. :)

Leah, could you explain a bit more about what you mean by "magic isn't wrong." What is magic? Where did it come from? Where does the power for magic come from?
And I'm not trying to argue here. :) I just wanted some clarification.
