Book Review--October Baby

Now, some of you might be thinking Isn't that a movie?
It is. But it was also written as a book. I got the book as a Christmas Present and I love it!
It goes into a lot more detail than the movie, but both it and the movie have a great message.

Hannah is the only child of loving parents. She is a sophomore in college, and has a lead role in an upcoming play. On the opening night, she collapses just as the play begins. Stunned, her parents finally decide to tell her the details of her birth. She is adopted. And the survivor of a failed abortion.
Bewildered, angry and confused, she turns to her oldest friend, Jason, for support. Hannah joins him and his friends on a road trip, embarking on a trip to discover her past. Along the way, Hannah does find out about her past...and also about her future. She learns that those who truly love her, already accept her as she is. She learns that she does have a purpose in life and that everyone, no matter how they were born, is worth saving and loving. And Every life is Beautiful.

  1. Sounds fun! Is it something appropriate for a thirteen year old?

  2. I think this book is one where your parents would have to read it first (or watch the movie) and then decide.

  3. Thanks for the review. I haven't watched the movie or read the book, so this was interesting.
