A song and verse for the weekend

Hey Y'all! I hope your having a great Friday :) Today Dad went in for his 3-month check up, scans etc. So if you all could be in prayer for the outcome of those that would be great!
Today  is also his birthday, So tonight we are going to have a surprise party and just celebrate him, his life, and him being with us :)
I know I've gotten behind with posting. . .especially the twice monthly book reviews. I'm working on writing them ahead of time so we should be getting back to them soon :)
Have a great weekend!!

Luke 8:24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.

Review for the week--The Trailblazer series

The Trailblazer series
Author(s): Dave and Neta Jackson
Genre: Historical Fiction

Throughout history, steadfast Christians have paved the way for dramatic changes in the world. The Christian heroes from the TRAILBLAZER BOOKS had the courage and strength to stand up for the God they believe in. Their amazing stories of hope and adventure, described through the eyes of young fictional characters, are timeless lessons for young and old.

I really enjoy reading these books! Soem of my favorites are
The Drummer Boy's battle(Florance Nightingale)
Spy fir the night riders (Martin Luther)
Imprisoned in the golden city(Adonoram and Anne Judson)
The Mayflower secret(William Bradford)
Queens smuggler(William Tyndale)
The hidden Jewel(Amy Carmichael)
Listen for the Whippoorwill(Harriet Tubman
Forty-acre swindle(George Washington Carver)
Sinking the Dayspring(John Paton)
The fate of the yellow woodbee(Nate Saint)
. . . Anyway, I could list a whole lot more, but I'm sure you get the idea!
My parents bought me a couple of these for my 10th birthday, and I've been reading/collecting them ever since! There are 40 in all, and I think I've read all but 2 of them. They are written for the 8-12 age range, but they are interesting enough to keep the attention of an older reader. And, like the description says, they are timeless lessons for young and old!
Have you ever read these books? If so, I'd love to hear what you thought of them. . .and what your favorite title was :)
